i really wanted to like this book because if just feels like it would be right up my alley, but i just couldn’t find it in me to develop an actual attachment to any of the characters. nothing is particularly wrong with this book; it just fell flat for me. harrison’s banter is witty, but it didn’t make me laugh. the characters are likable, but i didn’t feel attached to them. the pacing is reasonable, but everything still felt slow. giving it 3 stars because i was engaged enough to finish.
