by the end, this book was such a rollercoaster I couldn't believe how it just kept going. The first half was pretty slow to be honest but really ramped up. I didn't love the writing because it felt pretty childish... I wanted more of a serious mystery with high stakes but this just wasn't it. it was fun for sure once I got over that this wasn't the book I thought it was. I just struggled with believing that the protagonist would still stick around. might have been more believable if it was a locked room mystery...
