This is the second book in the Fae of Woodlands and Wild series, a fae fantasy romance trilogy. This takes place in the author’s Supernatural World but it it not necessary to read any prior book in the world. There are some dark elements to this story, as well as some spice, so please read the trigger warnings. I received an advance review copy and my thoughts are my own.

The Lovely: I’ve been absolutely feral for this second book because of how hard I fell for the characters in the last book and how the ending broke me. Broke me hard. And. . . I loved this book just as much. We see the MCs’ relationship change and grow as the FMC struggles with what he’s done.l I would have required a bit more groveling but the FMC is a better person than me. And, wow, I don’t think I realized in book one just how resilient the FMC is, but it comes out even more in book two. My heart hurts right along with her when she broke down.
Also Lovely: I also enjoyed how the plot progressed, which follows up on the MMC needed her magic in book one. We also get to know the MMCs friends a bit better as they travel the kingdom. A story is spun to explain the FMC’s presence, which had me giggling like a school girl.
Recommendation: I so enjoyed getting to dive back into this world and I found myself hesitant to finish because I didn’t want this reading experience to end. The ending isn’t a cliffhanger - more a setup for the third and final book in the series, which is coming mid-March. I’m so glad I don’t have to wait too long for the conclusion.
