We Used to Live Here by Marcus Kliewer

4.0

I could not put this down. I loved the premise of this, and especially loved the in between chapters with documents and letters and MORSE CODE. It made reading this so much more engaging, although I had trouble with the code at the end of chapter 23.

I made the mistake of starting this at midnight, because I was so creeped out that I couldn't sleep, and could swear I heard some scary noises downstairs.

My one question is, if Eve hadn't gone back to the house after she escaped with "Other Charlie," would she have kept her identity? Was she just ruined at that point?

Did Charlie end up in a separate dimension?? It's very clearly her email at the end of chapter 24, so are there just two Charlie/Charlotte Bastion's out there??

Is Jenny also a prisoner? Are they all paranormal beings? Are they demons or spirits? Are they the "anchors?" What is the deal with the part about hosts, guests, tourists, etc.

I have so many questions, but I loved reading this book. Very, very spooky.
