12/12/2021 - 1st reread: Books 1-3 were good and I enjoyed them thoroughly but this was the first book that I fell in love with. There were so many scenes in this book that still stand out to me when I think back on this series. This book onward are so action packed and have so much going on for them it's a joy to read.
The first time I read this book it destroyed me. I don't think I have ever been so emotionally traumatized from a book. I considered not continuing the series I was so upset. I just remember crying for like 24 hours straight and randomly bursting into tears at work because of this book lol. Luckily this time I was prepared for it!
8/16/2021: Book by book this has been becoming one of my favorite series. I am so invested in these characters and their story.
I was going to wait until the end of the series to write a review but this book has been sitting with me since I finished it last night. It was going to be a 5 star read, but minus one star because this book ripped my heart out and stomped all over it and I don't think it was in a good way. When I finished last night I thought I might DNF the rest of the series but I just can't stop thinking about these books and I need to know what happens. I've never felt so many emotions from a series.
I can feel the book hangover now and I still have two more books to read. It's going to be a long wait until December for the last book.
