Ageism, misogyny for starters.

This would have been a lovely, little beach book had the writer not clobbered us over the head, over and over with the made up conflict of her female protagonist’s age in comparison to her love interest. For the love of Pete why was this a big deal? If their ages were reversed, no one would even blink! This really ruined the whole book for me as every character seemed to take issue with the age issue except the love interest.
