The Briar Club by Kate Quinn
5.0
Phenomenal.
The Briar Club takes place during the 1950s- the Korean War is in full swing and Mcarthyism is a looming threat over innocent civilians’ heads. Opening up with a murder and a sentient house, each chapter follows a different resident of Briarwood House and their story leading up to the reveal.
A Irishwoman tangled up with a gangster, A Hungarian artist, a former baseball superstar, a struggling British mother…..each lady who rents a room at Briarwood has a story, has a secret, and Grace March, the newest resident, may have the biggest secret of all.
The recipes included were a fantastic addition!
