Nobrow's showcase of emerging British comics talent is notable for the broad range of art styles, which each make a strong impression. What didn't work for me was the sometimes casual depiction of violence and animal death sprinkled throughout. Sometimes it felt justified and powerful but there was one comic in particular where it really felt like it was just there for shock value.
