Mad Honey by Jodi Picoult, Jennifer Finney Boylan

4.0

I’m feeling slightly conflicted about this read
Olivia and Lily became two female characters I rooted for but this is hard when you know that one is dead.
The first reveal came too late in the book in my opinion and the second was way too anticlimactic and somewhat out of left field based on the character development.
I also found the ending to be too rushed and the mention of bees & honey was just too much
The timeline was also too confusing
However, this book was the first in a while that really had me thinking about secrets and what secrets of ourselves we owe our current partner(s), from our past

I hope people read this story and take from it a deeper understanding of the people around them & the burdens they may carry. The ways in which cruel words and harsh actions can have such a huge impact on those most marginalized in society
