I have THOUGHTS about this book and only half of them are good, but I’ll have to formulate my review later
Alright! It’s later now! Time to explain.
To begin with, I did really enjoy the setting of the novel and the author’s voice in her writing! The depictions were magical and i honestly could really see myself wherever the characters were. I’ll definitely be back to read the rest of her works!
However….I did NOT like Wyn. I’ve also seen some reviews saying that we got more focus on the friend group than we did the romance, and I’d have to agree on that. There was so much miscommunication throughout this book! Not only between Wyn and Harriet, but between their friends. I know Wyn was experiencing depression and didn’t know until much later, but the way he just closed himself off from her didn’t feel okay to me. And Harriet blocking him and not speaking up for herself was so frustrating!
Shoutout to Cleo and Kimmy tho I love lesbians
