Harrow the Ninth by Tamsyn Muir

Just when I thought that this series was confusing and complicated enough, things got worse, but in a good way. Small spoiler alert: the majority of this book ends up being some sort of weird hallucination, but we finally do get some answers as well - and man aren't they surprising. In short, this whole series is now a Spanish soap opera where no one knows who is who's secret dead cheating uncle or what.

To fully grasp what happened in the first two books, no matter the constant assistance of the Character Wiki and fan art, I will surely have to re-read all of the books before Alecto comes out...
