A super cute book! Fox and Hannah had the sweetest banter and I love how they grew from a friendship into their more intimate relationship. I didn’t find myself as enamored with this book in comparison to It Happened One Summer. I felt like the story suffered focusing so intently on just Fox and Hannah the entire book. The lack of scenes with Piper and Hannah made the story less interesting and unrealistic with how the sisters never hung out despite being in the smallest town (the in-laws being in town wasn’t the most air tight alibi for why Piper would be missing the entire book). I wish there had been more of Brendan and Fox as well - I would’ve loved reading Brendan’s apology scene. Even a cute scene where all four of them are together would be so adorable so I was a bit disappointed we didn’t get anything like that. I also felt like Hannah and Fox talked so much about being honest with one another, but they were both constantly making situations up about the what the other was thinking or what the other really wants instead of just talking about it — and that started to drive me crazy. Otherwise though, I still really enjoyed it and would still recommend both books in the series!
