Starting off the year with The Most Wonderful Crime of the Year was an absolute delight! This book is a charming blend of locked-room mystery, cozy crime, and cozy romance with a touch of enemies-to-lovers tension. The main characters were loveable, and their journey made for a heartwarming and entertaining read.

While I did manage to figure out the plot twists ahead of time, it didn’t diminish my enjoyment. Sometimes, it’s not about being surprised but about savoring the ride—and this book delivered! The narrators also did an excellent job bringing the story to life. Even though I’ve listened to them narrate other books before, they gave the characters distinct voices that felt fresh and engaging.

I only wish I had read it last month during Christmas to fully embrace the holiday vibes, but having such a great first read for 2025 is just as satisfying. If you’re in the mood for a cozy, feel-good mystery with a dash of romance, this one is highly recommended!
