Purity in Death by J.D. Robb

4.0

Another great entry in the series. Purity in Death deals with a computer virus that infects people causing them to become angry and violent. What we learn along the way is a terrorist group named Purity is targeting people who the law has let slip by (drug dealers, child molesters, etc.). But really who decides who lives and who dies? How can this group be allowed to mete out punishments? Doesn't it make them as bad as the people they are killing, especially considering innocent people get caught in the cross fire?

These are all things that Eve has to face in this book. It's a very technology / media driven book. The slipperly slope of using the media to your advantage and how it can also work against you. This is an organized cell similar to the Cassandra group in [b:Loyalty in Death|268598|Loyalty in Death (In Death, #9)|J.D. Considering all the technology used today, this book was written 10 years ago and Robb manages to still keep it relevent and the threat is still something that can cause uneasiness even with the changes made in those 10 years.

I really like this series. I'm slowly making my way through, but I think if I ever did get to the end I would be sad that I didn't have the characters to come back to. Until Then!
