Slewfoot: A Tale of Bewitchery by Brom

5.0

A tale of deliciously feral magic and impassioned retribution that left me feeling immensely satisfied. Brom has never failed to impress with his handle on gritty, dark, and folkish horror and this time was no exception. He skillfully toed the line with Abitha's treatment- she was treated incredibly poorly, enough so that you could not wait for her to take back her power, but not so poorly that you fall to despair and lose interest. I cannot recommend this book enough.
