Eat, Pray, Love by Elizabeth Gilbert
3.0
I haven’t read this or watched the film and wasn’t sure what to expect from it after picking it up in a charity shop. I just knew almost everyone has heard of it.
I was not blown away.
The writing is good in the sense that it was easy enough to read and I felt truly transported to the places she visited and write about. I felt I could really picture where she was and what she was doing, which is great writing!
As for the journey/story - it didn’t have me too interested unfortunately. It felt in places a little self-entitled and I’m left a little underwhelmed!
