The Sound in Silence by M.L. Philpitt
5.0
Erico & Ariella: These Two Made My Heart Sing! - 5 Stars!
If it's one thing I love, it's a cinnamon roll hero. That is exactly what Erico is to Ariella and I am so here for it!
THE SOUND IN SILENCE is Book Five of the Fractured Ever After series by M.L. Philpit and its brilliant. Ariella steps center stage as the selectively mute sister of Della, whom we met in Book One. Ariella was in a serious car accident with resulted in a fatality: her mother. Traumatized from the event, she is non-verbal to everyone with the exception of her sister Della. Believing she is doomed to be alone, as no man wants to marry a woman who doesn't speak and suffers from depression, Ariella agrees to marry Erico Rossi in a mafia-marriage to merge families, creating allies between the Corsetti and Rossi families.
Erico has no plans to love or even tolerate a wife. He is marrying for the sake of creating an heir only. What he doesn't expect is to become so enthralled with his silent wife that he can't focus on anything else but her. Erico and Ariella fall hard for each other, but their happiness is threatened when a shocking revelation may tear them apart.
This book was amazing. I love fairy tales and I love mafia romance. This author does such a fantastic job of marrying the two and creating something spectacular. You will fall in love with this couple and root for them. I laughed, I cried, and even learned a great deal, as the author focused on a topic that is often ignored and overlooked; individuals living everyday with depression. Bravo, M.L. for going where few authors dare go, offering a valued message through the story. Read loud and clear!
If you love fairy tales with some spice, please read this series! You will most assuredly love it! I sure did!
Happy reading!
