I just LOVE Anthony Horowitz and his mysteries: they're satisfyingly long and layered, totally action-packed, and perfect for mystery fans looking for a twist on their favorite genre.
"Moonflower Murders" was quite unique in that it included a WHOLE BOOK within the book (the third installment of the fictional Atticus Pund series) which is used to try and solve the mystery at the center of our actual book. While this might sound like a little much, and it honestly might *be* a little much, I had a great time with both stories. Sometimes books-within-books can get by just being referenced and alluded to, but in this case I think experiencing the entire Atticus Pund novel actually helped bring us more into the universe.
To say much more would probably spoil some aspect of this story, so I'll just say that if you can allow yourself to get really deep into a mystery then you should give Anthony Horowitz a try—you won't be disappointed!
