Brom absolutely nailed it. I loved the characters in this book, even the gross horrible folks who I loved to hate.
It is brutally honest about how women were treated in the era, and that gets very dark, but there’s an undercurrent of hope in this book that stops it from ever getting too bleak.
Genuinely wonderful from beginning to end.
