Billionaire Unknown ~ Blake by J.S. Scott
3.0
I just can’t with this one. Incredulity, thy name is me. I love this series for what it is, fluff. Billionaire romances with some angst. Not groundbreaking stuff, but fun stories & worth the read. This one was a bit much.
We’re supposed to believe that Blake, a sexually active 22yr old man has sex with a virgin & it affects him so much that he doesn’t have sex for 12 years? And never tries to find her after a few months? He becomes a Senator for christmas sake!
Also, I have a problem with the whole, “we can’t have a baby, therefore we’ll never be a family.” There are options for women who can’t have children naturally. Harper even mentions that she wanted to adopt by herself, but we’re supposed to believe that she never considered adoption an option for her and Blake? Plus, there are many families that involve 2 partners & no kids. Un-freakin-believable!
This was not fun dumb, it was stupid dumb.
And, because I’m in a bitchy mood, I took one star away on Audible narrator for her not being able to pronounce irrevocably.
