probs my least favorite sarah waters so far. it did Not need to be that long.. i also thought the prose was kinda dumb at parts. i definitely prefer her works w first person wayy more as well lol
maybe the book will grow on me; i think the comparisons made between the domestic and carceral spaces/public spaces in general were quite interesting but overall it still felt kinda trite and like i was being beaten over the head with it so idrk.
