This series is like The Hunger Games, meets Suits with a dose of the Da Vinci Code. Barnes weaves a tale full of riddles but is able to keep you in the loop just enough that you can follow everything, but you need to know more!

I can only imagine what Barnes’ planning documents look like as she leads you through red herrings and well thought out plot twists. I think I know what’s coming and then she goes and changes it up on me; it keeps me wanting to turn page after page… Honestly, I’m thinking about the next book in the series already!

The last factor I have to talk about the romance subplot. I’m thankful that it doesn’t take up more space than it does, but I also like the extra dramatic ads. I’m also team ‘the one she chose’ ha ha.
