I'm so lucky to know the amazing, wonderful Alexandra Vasti and to be in the most iconic romance book club with her! We read this for the February meeting, and one of the stations was getting to ask Alex all of our silly little questions (like mine about French grammar)
This book was a fun adventure, written in a true historical setting in the United Kingdom! Our MCs, Arthur and Lydia, are both anxious people who want to make life better for those around them, even as they go about it differently. Through misadventures, miscommunications, and general historical romance tomfoolery, the two road trip around the UK to find Arthur's wayward brother and get caught up in a political plot!
The history was fascinating, the romance was adorable, the smut was great; Alex Vasti literally can't stop writing perfection!
