All The Rainbows Colours by Emma Ledden
5.0
I was lucky to be sent a copy of this lovely new picture book in return for an honest review.
This is a fantastic picture book celebrating diversity.
'When you look around this world,
there is something you will see.
Sometimes others look like you,
sometimes they look like me'
There are so many important messages all the way through this book: always treat others with respect, be kind, help other people. The rhyme throughout the book and the gorgeous illustrations make it a book that will appeal instantly to young children.
My daughter loved it and it immediately prompted important conversations about how we look different to others but how we also have so much in common.
This would be such a useful book to have in an Early Years Setting or Primary School. It would be a great way to start a discussion about how we are different in the Early Years. Equally older children could benefit from exploring the messages of diversity and inclusion at a deeper level. I have often had to lead assemblies around the themes in this book and wish I'd had it to hand in the past!
Thank you so much to Emma Ledden for sending me a copy.
