I think this deserves the five star rating. I was there with the characters every step of the way, truly examining what it would feel like to be in MCs situation. THE PAIN OF IT ALL.
A rare instance where I liked the unreliable narrator sort of storytelling. We only get her perspective, so it might be wrong, but it also might not, and that's the part that chilled my bones.
I don't know what i would have done in her shoes. I pray I never have to wear those shoes, I pray no one has to.
But the thing I do know is that FOX IS THE MOST USELESS, SPINELESS, PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A HUSBAND AND FATHER. PATHETIC EXCUSE FOR A PERSON. Even through Blythe's insistance that he was a good father, a good husband, those tiny, often overlooked harmful behaviors crept across the pages. Masterfully written!
