This is JLA’s best book set in this world yet. Without giving anything away, the main character and their lover interest have such an incredible dynamic. It’s similar to the relationship found in the Blood and Ash series, but different, almost better. The characters are well rounded and you grow to love them after a few chapters. JLA’s biggest strength is world building and being able to tell such a deep story.
