This was an intense rollercoaster of a journey full of trauma, violence, rage, pain and betrayals.
It is a VERY dark and spicy Beauty and the Beast twisted retelling, and is the embodiment of enemy to lover forced captivity romance.
There is a lot of triggering content, but outside of that is a brutal but beautiful story of breaking curses, learning to love, protecting loved ones, and overcoming trauma.
This book had me feeling all the emotions alongside Kiera and Reyn, and the ending is heartbreaking!
Read this if you enjoy dark fantasy, morally grey characters, fairytale retellings, a sassy/stabby/defiant FMC, a monstrous/non-human/broken MMC, and plot twists that give you whiplash.
(Also the sarcasm and banter in this is hilarious, still laughing over Rhinoceros)
