This book had a cool concept, a nice “twist” at the end that I sort of saw coming, and some clever pieces to the plot. However, the stream of consciousness writing style might not be for me. I have a really hard time connecting to characters with that style, believe it or not. I think my introvert way of processing things and stream of consciousness writing are in direct conflict with one another, which really takes me out of the reading experience. I have several more of SGJ’s books on my shelf I want to try but am definitely worried that there may be some DNFs in my future.
