Atlas by Eden Finley

While Atlas had its sweet and cute moments, it didn’t fully work for me. I liked Atlas and Lemon as characters—they had potential—but their chemistry felt a bit flat. Some of their interactions were enjoyable, but something was missing to make their connection truly compelling.

The plot, centered on an undercover investigation at a strip club, didn’t grab my attention. It took too long to get Atlas and Lemon together romantically, and while I appreciated Atlas’s focus on emotional connection, the buildup lacked tension. By the time things turned physical (at 90% into the book!), the romance still felt underdeveloped, with minimal focus on their intimacy or deeper bond.

The action-packed climax was decent, but the story as a whole felt slower and less engaging than previous books in the series. I also missed the camaraderie of the Mike Bravo team—Lemon wasn’t fully integrated into that world until the very end, which felt like a missed opportunity.

Atlas as a gentle giant was a great character, and Lemon had his charm, but their relationship didn’t deliver the spark I wanted. While this wasn’t a bad read, it lacked the magic I’ve come to expect from Eden Finley.
