An expertly told narrative of the 1996 disaster on Mount Everest. The author writes in a way that lets the reader in on the palpable tension of the real life dangers experienced by the climbers. He also humanizes the climbers and explores his own role in the disaster. This book sent me down a rabbit hole of all things Mount Everest.
