The Wilful Princess and the Piebald Prince by Robin Hobb

5.0

I really enjoyed this story and feel it will add a lot to my next read through of the "Tawny Man" trilogy (soon...).
I found this story shared some minor similarity in a good way with another book I read recently, "[b:Hild|17332243|Hild|Nicola Griffith|https://images.gr-assets.com/books/1375931640s/17332243.jpg|24035877]" by [a:Nicola Griffith|90780|Nicola Griffith|https://images.gr-assets.com/authors/1336097341p2/90780.jpg]. They were similar in terms of what the main character and those around them (
Spoilertheir mothers
) had to do to survive in a royal setting they didn't quite belong in. I enjoyed that book and really liked finding those similar themes here in "The Wilful Princess and the Piebald Prince."
This story will be a must-read on all my future read-throughs of the Realm of the Elderlings series.
