I loved this book so so much and not just because a side character's name is Bridgette and she's called Bridie, which my mum and sister call me.

This book was about love, longing, despair, hope, childhood whimsy, adventure and imagination. It grabbed hold of my heart and made me feel. I loved it dearly!
