One thing this volume could've benefitted from was some introspection from Mastunaga's pov. I would've liked to have seen him on his little retreat, and been given some insight into where exactly his hang-ups and reluctance are coming from. It seems obvious, yet it's also left to the reader to assume. That being said, I am glad for the scenes that followed after he returned, and the way he and Miko interact with each other is beyond adorable.
