The Fault in Our Stars by John Green

4.0

I had seen the movie but I never picked up this book because it's not my preferred genre or author. I had assumed Green's storytelling would be like Nicholas Sparks's, whom I loathe with a passion. Then I got a free e-copy of this book and it was sitting on my Kindle. I am glad I picked it up on a whim because I ended up liking the book. John Green's writing is really smart and I was able to connect with it. Hazel was a delight to read about, much, much better than the movie version. There were a few things I couldn't wrap my mind around or didn't agree with, but it didn't affect my reading experience.

I will try to attempt to read other books by John Green.
