The Windup Girl by Paolo Bacigalupi

Did not finish book. Stopped at 14%.
Quite possibly the worst Asian accents I've heard. The Malaysian and Japanese accents were identical and a cross between Austrian, German and some Scandinavian country. I would rather he not have done any at all then to inflict this mangled version on listeners. I was so distracted by it that I simply couldn't continue. The story, as far as I could tell, was intriguing but not enough to overwhelm the terrible accents. I do not understand how this could have passed the editorial board or even how the narrator was hired for this particular job.
