This is powerful and emotionl. Dark and hopeful. And covers the dangers subversive thoughts that shame, bullying and self judgement can potentially lead to if allowed room to grow.
This is a powerful book, and I agree with the sentiment on the cover of the book from Jarrett J. Krosoczka.... This book WILL save lives... So allow it to reach those that need it.
I was a similar age to that of Aiden in this at a similar to time period, and whilst my experiences are not exactly one2one, this evoked some very strong memories, thoughts and feelings that I had at that age, and whilst I am much older now, it's amazing how some of those thoughts linger despite 'knowing better'
