All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

5.0

This is a book I kept reading reviews about but I just didn't think the storyline sounded like something I could get into. I am glad I gave it a try. Beautifully written story that I regretfully finished today. This would be something I would read again and probably enjoy even more the second time around.

I finished this for the second time and am very glad that it was chosen for our book club. It will be a joy to discuss. I read this in a much more leisurely manner this second time around. I believe there is so much going on in this book that it almost requires a second reading. Despite the seriousness and harsh reality dealt with in the subject matter, I somehow still found this book comforting. This time around, I even highlighted some of my favorite passages in the book.
