I was not a fan of this one by any means, but I think if yoy are a fan of Caraval then you would like this one a lot! I didn't really care for Caraval so it makes sense that I disliked this.

I'm being a bit harsh with my 1 Star as I was somewhat invested at the beginning for the first 20%, and it did read very quickly so I thought I would fly through it. However this did end up taking me 5 days because I hated it from that point onwards and had to stop myself from DNFing every 5%.

I don't know what it is exactly that made me hate the book so much, I simply found the main character to be an incessant whiner and someone who couldn't seem to make a decision by herself for the life of her or anyone else for that matter.

I didn't care for the love interest, or the plot, and I'm not really sure what the whole point of the bad guy and his motives were.

Overall a very disappointing let down and I think I need to stop ever reading books about circuses or magicians in general because I am never not let down by them!
