i'm a broken record, but this book is just so good. just as good the second time around--i could pick up on more details and actually enjoyed the second half more than the first time. that sense of dread you feel is just as strong. just a perfect, perfect book full of extremely unlikable, pretentious characters, beautiful writing, and intriguing imagery.

absolutely stunning. Tartt’s writing is just SO gorgeous. this is an instant favorite for sure.
