I appreciated that this book had more plot than the last one and was more connected to the macro plot of the series. There's a subplot about a serial killer, which was interesting, and there's also an entire plotline revolving around the Psy council and how it's falling apart, which moved the conflict of the macro plot to a breaking point.
I liked the couple, especially how Max took things slow and gave Sophia the needed time. The protagonists liked each other from the beginning, so there wasn't as much tension in this book as in others in the series, which I missed. But overall, the couple was good.
