You, Again by Kate Goldbeck
4.0
The best thing about this book is that the banter and chemistry between the two main characters is great from the very beginning. I was very intrigued by the story from the start. It took me a while to feel invested because at the beginning, we only get glimpses of the characters throughout the years. However, once the book settled into the timeline where the majority of the story takes place, I was so invested. I loved seeing these two people finding each other in a very vulnerable moment of their lives and finding companionship, support, and solace in one another. Additionally, they were funny, witty, and snappy together, which was entertaining. I appreciated that the conflict in this story was mostly internal and that there was a lot of character growth. Nonetheless, my main issue with this is that a lot of that character growth is left until the very end, and it felt a little rushed. Still, overall, this was a fun, compelling and a lot less heteronormative reimagining of When Harry Met Sally.
