Sing You Home by Jodi Picoult
5.0
I mainly only give a book 5 stars if it truly was amazing to me, changed me, and I feel anyone should read it and feel something from it. I don't necessarily think this is a book for anyone, but it was amazing. I felt like I was reading about myself and my wife. I felt their struggles, their pain, and their happiness. When I read the things some people said about gay people it really hurt and actually scared me because I know there are people who legitimately think and feel like they do. Even though things are changing and we have 30+ states with marriage equality as the law of the land, I still worry that if we've, we won't be equal. This book, albeit not entirely about LGBT equality, is a great example of how different being gay and straight is outside of the obvious. This book was really heartbreaking, and luckily Jodi Picoult gave us a happy ending, even if it was a little unanswered.
