The Near Miss by Lily Joseph

1.0

Wow. So I thought once again the synopsis was going to be setting me up for a great romance. Not so much. This thing drags to the point that you just want it to end. And the two leads were not that great separately or together. The near misses that kept happening were not intriguing anymore after the fourth one we get.

"The Near Miss" follows Wren, a 30 something year old journalist, and Nick, a divorced single father who is a glazer. The two "meet" when Nick drops a window that almost fell directly on Wren which would have definitely injured her. The book then follows them as they keep doing things that lead to near misses to the other person.

I don't feel like wasting a lot of my time on this review. I thought that Wren and Nick were just boring honestly. And Wren and her relationship and her relationship with her father were a mess. Nick and his ex were a mess. It was just two messy people for the longest time before we finally have them actually meet and by then I wasn't that invested.

The ending didn't really work for me, but it at least ended.
