What a lovely hidden gem!!

I loved everything about this book.
I’m a sucker for time traveling books since I read outlander, but I’ve never encountered a book based on the 9th century. How different everything was, when not even pants existed.

Paige found a tree that transport her through time when she was 5yo. Obviously, she does not know what she’s doing and how imposible that is, so she continues to travel for years. She grows up talking about it and being the outcast, the weird kid.

Life continues and Paige visits the 9th century one more time just to have something terrible happens. We get to see her struggle to grasp her new reality, but the outcome is so rewarding.
