This was quite charming! Arranged marriage turns into love. Tamil boy and Hindi girl. One of them's an engineer and one of them is, to their mother's uncertainty, someone who loves the arts. But Kumar takes the known Indian cliches and makes them warm and lived in, things you encounter in real life. I think Karthik in particular is a really great romance dude - he's clearly got issues but is never an ass. And a couple of his bigger Romance Gestures were so wonderful!!! Coming from a place of knowing and really liking someone. On top of that - sweet parents (other than the dud), great love of musicals!, fun little careers plots.

I'm only knocking off a star because I wished they'd TALKED! sooner, and also because I didn't gaf about Meghna's best friend/brother troubles. But overall, I'm excited for more from this author!!!
