King's Heat by Roe Horvat
5.0
I hesitated to read this one after reading most of Roe's other work because it sounded so different. It took a deleted scene to draw me in. I should NOT have hesitated. Only Roe can make pure smut make your heart feel so full. I am sooo in love with Jonah and Sebastian. I'm writing this after reading the entire series, but this volume doesn't end at a cliffhanger, which I very much appreciate. I'm not usually one for quotes, but "wind and water" is definitely sticking with me:
"He’s promised to be mine. But seeing him now, I know that he can’t be. He doesn’t belong to anyone—just like the sun or moon don’t. I can’t bear the thought of another alpha touching his skin now that I’ve been inside him, but to own him? To collar him? Impossible. I’d just as easily collar wind and water."
In the end, bravo Roe
