I honestly gave this book a fair shot because I was so excited for it!
I had so many issues, firstly I really can't relate to any character or the highschool situation. Are American highschool really like this? Secondly, I'm not sure I like the mc, she literally has no personality other than her best friend and getting revenge for her. Idk if that was what the author wanted to portray but having been with people like these I can tell you one thing, they're boring.
The plot is super predictable and I can see where it's going, especially the romance which I know will be forced and I really don't ship Will and Chloe. Will might be shown as the goody guy in a group of bad ones but I'm just unable to swallow that story.
I think my breaking point was when Chloe let's this thing happen to a girl in her school which is extremely serious. She's even the reason behind it but all she says when it happens is something along the lines of I feel horrible but I also feel powerful. She got a freaking rush of adrenaline when this girl's life was getting destroyed and I couldn't take it, nope.
She sorta pretends that she's above the level ones and the author tries to show how much of an impact they're having on her but I think that whole part was taking it too far to the point I really don't like Chloe now.
The only thing this book had going was that they never tell us what happened to the best friend and damn my curiosity, I'll just ask someone who has already read this book.
