Seven Fallen Feathers: Racism, Death, and Hard Truths in a Northern City by Tanya Talaga
5.0
it is absolutely horrifying how indigenous people have been treated throughout history but this book was especially eye opening to the modern tragedies that have occurred in the last century and continue to this day. from the horror of residential schools, that we still don’t even have the full scope on, to the ignoring of missing and murdered indigenous children that happens everyday there is so much that needs to be healed. we must fight to gain equity for these communities so that the trauma of this constant mourning does not continue to plague generations. may the seven fallen feathers rest in peace. land back.
