Revenant Gun by Yoon Ha Lee

5.0

I love this trilogy even thought I'll need time to recuperate after this one.
I fell in love with the universe and characters in Ninefox Gambit and I'm absolutely amazed how Raven Stratagem and Revenant Gun expand on both, but it was also very hard for me to read this one because of some truly horrifying situations. Thought-provoking, full of suspense and intrigue, and yet funny and fun, with some truly tragic moments and character revelations, not to mention bittersweet. There is no boring moment in this book, and while it was painful in some ways it was also very hopeful in others.
I absolutely love The Machineries of Empire, even when I wanted to scream in frustration. And I definitely wanted to scream while reading Revenant Gun.
