Here We Are: Feminism for the Real World by Kelly Jensen

3.0

This book was so good. But at the same time so white, so heterosexual, so cis. Whereas many essays had a bold message and truly moving approach on important matters related to feminism, it lacked the intersectional part it loudly and proudly kept repeating. Only one chapter being an interview with Laverne Cox cannot do much good in the cis sea of privilege. And I still keep wondering where are all the lesbians at. All the bi women. Ace. Aro. Queer.
Praise for the privileged woman side of things concerning becoming and being a feminist, but this book needed to be much more in order to achieve more.
